Dental Implants: An Unparalleled Solution for Missing Teeth
If you have suffered tooth loss, dental implants and implant-supported restorations can repair the aesthetics and functionality of your smile. The strength, durability, and versatility of implants makes them the most trusted solution for tooth replacement. In addition to restoring your smile, dental implants can protect your oral health by stimulating the jawbone and preserving its structure. With Dr. Matt's Air Force training, he is experienced in placing dental implants and can provide a custom crown, bridge, or denture at our office in Dublin, OH. With more than 1,300 hours of continuing education, Dr. David Scurria has the knowledge and expertise needed to design natural-looking restorations that fit comfortably and securely in your smile.
The Process of Receiving Implants
During your consultation, Drs. Dave and Matt Scurria can examine your teeth, gums, and jawbone to determine if you are a candidate dental implants. In order to qualify, you should be in good oral and overall health, as well as have sufficient jawbone tissue to support implant posts. If you have experienced jawbone atrophy after tooth loss, you may require a preliminary bone graft or sinus lift before undergoing treatment. If you decide to proceed with treatment, we can refer you to a specialist, who will perform your implant placement.
After surgery, you will have to wait until your smile has fully healed before we can attach your custom restoration. During this recovery period, which can last between four to six months, the implant will fuse with your jawbone, forming a strong foundation for your crown, bridge, or denture. Once this process is complete. you can return to our office to receive your prosthesis.
Dr. Scurria is committed to helping his patients achieve the most beautiful, long-lasting, and natural-looking restorations possible. To remain abreast of the latest advancements in the field, he has attended over 1,300 hours of continuing education on restorative implants and various implant symposiums. Combining this advanced training with his extensive experience as a restorative dentist, Dr. Scurria is able to customize each treatment to help patients achieve a beautiful, healthy smile.

Why Choose Dental Implants?
Dental implants provide the number one solution for tooth replacement. Unlike traditional restorations that rest atop the gums, dental implants are surgically placed into the jaw. As a result, they mimic missing tooth roots and stimulate the jawbone, preventing further bone atrophy. In addition, they serve as a solid foundation for implant-supported restorations, preventing your bridge or denture from shifting out of place and irritating your gums, cheeks, or lips.
