The First Phase of Treatment
During your consultation, Drs. Dave and Matt Scurria can examine your teeth, gums, and bite, as well as the overall health of your smile. Once we determine that you are a good candidate, we can review the estimated timeline and cost of treatment. If you decide to move forward, we can take a series of advanced images of your smile, and impressions of your teeth. These will be sent to a trusted dental laboratory and will be used to fabricate your customized aligner trays.
Once your aligners are ready, we can review detailed instructions to ensure you feel confident during treatment.
How to Wear Your Aligners
It is important to wear your aligners for 20 to 22 hours each day to ensure you progress smoothly. You may remove these trays while you eat and when you brush and floss your teeth. You also have the freedom to remove them for special events.
However, the success of your treatment will depend upon your dedication to wearing your aligners. Every one to two weeks as directed, you should transition to the next set of aligners, which will continue to move your teeth into place. You should also schedule follow-up visits at our practice every six weeks, so we can monitor your progress.
