Restore Your Smile with a Dental Crown
A cracked, fractured, or missing tooth can impact the appearance of your smile, and if left untreated, can result in more serious oral health concerns. To restore the integrity of your bite, reinforce the structure of your tooth, and help you maintain optimal oral health, Drs. Dave and Matt Scurria can place a dental crown at their office in Dublin, OH. For optimal results, we partner with a local dental laboratory to fabricate our crowns. When designing your restoration, we can select the shade of porcelain that blends with the natural sheen and translucency of your smile. Whether you are in need of a crown to strengthen a damaged tooth or replace a missing tooth, you can trust our team to deliver the highest quality care.
A Natural Appearance
At Perimeter Dental Group, it is our goal to provide durable restorations that can help you achieve a strong bite. However, it is also very important to us that you receive a crown that blends seamlessly with your natural teeth. For these reasons, we recommend all-porcelain crowns. Not only are they aesthetically pleasing, but they deliver the strength needed to restore the tooth structure.
Whether you are in need of a crown to strengthen a damaged tooth or replace a missing tooth, you can trust our team to deliver the highest quality care.
During your consultation, Drs. Dave and Matt Scurria can examine your teeth and gums to determine if you are a candidate for treatment. If you decide to proceed, he can administer a local anesthetic to ensure your comfort. We can then prepare your tooth by removing areas of decay and portions of the tooth that have been damaged. To accommodate the crown, we may also remove a small portion of enamel. This process can ensure your restoration fits comfortably and snugly in your smile. Once the tooth has been properly prepared, we can take impressions, which will be sent to our local laboratory for manufacture. Typically the fabrication process takes about two weeks. In the interim, we may place a temporary crown to ensure your comfort and assist with dental function.
Once the crown is complete, you can return to our office for placement. We can use a strong, dental bonding adhesive to secure your crown over the top of the damaged tooth. To add the finishing touches, we can polish your smile, revealing your new, enhanced appearance.
If you are receiving dental implants, we can also design an implant-supported crown. Instead of securing the crown to a natural tooth, your restoration will be affixed directly to the implant post. The combination of dental implants and crowns can help patients achieve the most natural, long-lasting solution available, as well as improve overall oral health.
